This policy explains what information Colouristic Hair Salon & Makeup collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Booking details you give us: your name, phone number, email (if provided), information about your hair / current color, and the reason for your visit, plus the time you booked.
• Website chat messages you send to our automated assistant, and its replies.
• Basic technical information such as your IP address, used to protect the site from abuse (for example, limiting repeated bookings or sign-in attempts).

How we use it

• To schedule, confirm, change and follow up on your appointment.
• To keep a record of your appointments, including ones that were cancelled or missed (no-shows), so we can manage future bookings.
• To answer your questions and keep our services safe, including reviewing chats or calls that our safeguards flag.
• To meet legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Text messages

If we offer texts and you agree to them (by ticking the box, or saying yes in our website chat), we send a confirmation when you book, appointment reminders and, if you join our waitlist, a text when a time opens. Message frequency varies (usually a confirmation and one to three reminders per appointment). See the Text messages section of our Terms. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. Texting is optional and never required to book.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our texting provider receives your number only to deliver our messages.

Emails

When you book, we email your confirmation, and later a reminder before your visit. If you change or cancel, we email to confirm that too. If you join our waitlist, we email when a time opens. After a visit we may send one email asking for a review.

We don't send newsletters or advertising, and we don't share your email address for anyone else's marketing. Reminder, waitlist and review emails each include an unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe you'll still get confirmations for appointments you book or change. You can also reply to any email, or reach us by phone at (310) 779-1839, to stop them.

Who we share it with

We use a few service providers to run this site. They process information on our behalf:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and its booking database.
• Cloudflare also runs the AI model behind the website chat assistant (Workers AI). Chat messages are processed there to generate replies.
• Resend sends appointment confirmation and reminder emails.
• Twilio delivers text messages (booking confirmations, reminders and waitlist alerts) to customers who opt in.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people's safety.

How long we keep it

• Chat transcripts are deleted automatically after 90 days.
• Appointment records are kept as part of our business records for as long as reasonably needed (for example, for service history, warranty questions or accounting), and then deleted.

Cookies and browser storage

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The chat stores a conversation ID in your browser for the current visit so the assistant can follow the conversation. Staff sign-in uses a security cookie that only applies to our owner dashboard.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal record-keeping requirements. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls on our owner dashboard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above shows when it last changed.
